Whoever decided on this cover is a monster. This is a really cute rom com and that cover is terrible.

I loved seeing a story of a plus sized woman post-trauma-unpacking. I love her confidence and the way her and her partner loves her body. I love that she doesn't compromise on her own goals.

Not quite as cute as the first one, but still fun and hilarious.

The next book in the Hudson Valley series – woohoo.

I absolutely adored the first book in the series, Nuts, but I LOVED Cream Of The Crop.

Firstly – thank you Ms Clayton for writing about an average woman. Natalie is size 18, sassy and sexy. She rocks her curves, owns each and every one of them, and has men falling on their knees for her.

Until him. Hot cheese guy. She becomes a tongue-tied mess around him. And it is just so cute to watch her try to figure out why this guy affects her.

Natalie is kind of half way crazy. She is a tried an true Manhattan girl from the top of her head to the tips of her toes.

Oscar the Hot Dairy guy is the quiet to Natalie's noise. Whereas Natalie has the gift of the gab, Oscar is a man of few words.

But a man of many smouldering looks. Knicker-combusting lingering looks across the counter.

It is definitely worth the wait to take things past 3 words with this pair.

He really is the cheese to her cracker. Did I mention that Natalie has a love that should not be spoken of for... cheese! It is kind of a religious experience for her.

So can hot farmer and city girl make things work?

For that you are going to have to read for yourself.

Cream Of The Crop is a sweet, sexy, funny read that had me hooked from the first word to the last.

Can't wait to see who the 3rd Hudson Valley series is about. I hope you don't keep us waiting too long Ms Clayton!

It took me about half the book to really start enjoying this. And while I liked Natalie from the start I felt like it took till near the end to know anything more about Oscar than that he was very attractive. Made it difficult to root for the romance for most of the book.

my friend said this was one of her favorite series so I had to read it since I like romance. HUH???

DNF IMMEDIATELY. I couldnt get past the first chapter. this has got to be one of the worst things I have ever read. it sounds like a man trying to be a woman.

I literally could not read past pg 25. this woman is deranged! the way she talks about herself is weird? she talks like a frat boy. why is she saying she has a "sweet rack?"

you think watching someone drink a glass of milk is sexy? to the point of almost climaxing in public? which was the second time that has happened in the first 25 pages?

insufferable. DNF

What happens when a confident, city chic, ad executive gets all mushy and tongue tied by hot, tattooed dairy farmer? You get this entertaining as hell book by Alice Clayton. Natalie, the female MC, is commissioned by the picturesque, quaint small town of Bailey Falls to put together an ad campaign that will bring the tourists. She jumps at the opportunity because not only is the hot dairy farmer who she's been crushing on every Saturday lives and works there but her best friend, which we met in [b:Nuts|25056208|Nuts (Hudson Valley, #1)|Alice Clayton|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1445239638s/25056208.jpg|44737717], is now a permanent resident. For the first time ever, I found myself being annoyed by the male MC, Oscar. He really did take on the 'Oscar the Grouch' persona quite well. It's moments like this when I desperately want a dual POV. I'm all for the quiet, brooding hero, but Oscar was non-communicative. Only times he seemed to find words was during the steamy, hot sexy scenes. Other than that, he really was a man of few words. Natalie on the other hand was an absolute blast. Her confidence was unparalleled. She was smart, charming and forthright. Her confidence alone made her lovable and adorable, even when she thought wearing thigh high Chanel boots on a dairy farm was perfectly acceptable.

Ms Clayton did another fantastic job with her research about organic farming and cheesemaking. I found myself watching YouTube videos on how cheese is made...and I may have stopped in at the grocery store to get me some;) Now only if I could find a sexy dairy farmer to go with that....

****Copy from NetGalley in return for an honest review******

This was my second Alice Clayton - I read Wallbanger last year and quite enjoyed it - although having heard some of the raves about it I was expecting to like it more - and so when this came up on NetGalley I thought I'd give it a try to see if I was missing something.

And I kinda feel the same about this - it was a perfectly nice way to pass a couple of hours. It's quite funny in patches, the heroine loves cheese (so do I) and town-girl goes country is always fun. But I wasn't mad keen on the heroine, and the hero had a few moments were he really gave me the pip.

So fun, but the earth didn't move.

I really loved the setting and the MMC. I'm not convinced that the MCs should have ended up together.
