Honestly there's not a whole lot of action in this one. It's not a difficult read though.
Mostly, this is worth a read because of its importance to Science Fiction and as an interesting exercise in utilitarian philosophy.

It was worth reading and I see why some people love it. I read it due to the repeated mentions and fascination of Yuval Noah Harari (Sapiens). After reading it my first thought was, that's it? My second thought was that seemed short. How many pages was this thing? Turns out it was more pages than I thought due to how spread out many pages were and how entire passages seemed completely unnecessary.
I won't ever read this book again for enjoyment, but I am happy I read it. The conversation today around it is significantly more interesting than the book itself. Greater participation in those conversations would make it worthwhile even if the book was worse. At the very least it is easy to read and interesting. I recommend this version because I thoroughly enjoy reading period specific philosophical musings. There is a lot of that with Revisited that also help to explain why the original story is contradictory in ways and inconclusive. It is also better off that way.

Huxley is wildly pessimistic about the nature of humanity and their future. I can’t say I blame him considering the world events he witnessed, and a significant portion of his writing and warnings remain relevant in the current rise of fascism worldwide.
