Fallen in Love is a short story from the Fallen universe. The story details the Valentine's Day of Miles and Shelby, Roland, Arriane and of course Luce and Daniel. I enjoyed the stories of Miles and Shelby and Luce and Daniel. However, I found Roland story was just so sad, and Arriane story was depressing. I feel that this book was well written. Kate does a really good job with weaving the four stories of into one. Also some questions were answered about Roland and Arriane. Overall, I did not like all of the stories, but Kate is such a good author that although I do not like her tales of love I can always enjoy a well written book.

It was cute to read about the love stories of the supporting characters. Nice to know they have a life of their own. Yet I feel like all the characters are fairly complacent, even Luce and Daniel, which doesn’t make for a super exciting story.

Good. A nice break from the main story and it shows the beginning of an intimate relationship between miles and Shelby. though I felt that it didn't benefit the overall story progression in any way (didn't make a difference). If you are thinking of either reading it or skipping it, I'd recommend just skipping it unless you like the character of miles and Shelby

I feel like I am in a different position than most when writing this review because I have actually never read any of the other books in the series. I believe my review will be different largely because of that.
So, this book is like four short stories that take place at the same time. It was one of the reasons that drew me to this book because the idea of four short stories sounded easy to read and I was specifically looking for a quick, easy read. The stories all deal with love, the first being Shelby and Miles, the second being Roland and Rosaline, third is Arriane and Tess, and lastly, Daniel and Lucinda.
As someone who has never read the previous books, I was able to catch on pretty quickly with Announcers, fallen angels, and the concept of time travel and how it works in these stories. The most confusing story to read (having not read the previous books) was Arriane and Tess's because their love story relies so heavily on the fallen angel lore. I was able to put the pieces into place as I read, but I can only imagine that most readers probably already know their backstory prior to reading this novel.
That being said, it was an easy and enjoyable read. Some of the stories were actually heartbreaking, while some were really lovely. I was also pleasantly surprised by the author's historical knowledge on medieval society, without being a historical piece. Examples include needing to find proper attire for the period, the odd accent and lingo of modern day society, and getting disease from drinking the water. It was just a bonus I wasn't expecting.

This book was okay. It was interesting seeing things from the other characters' pov, but the story did not really fit the timeline from the previous book, which annoyed me. I liked getting a sense of Miles and Shelbys story. I did like parts of it, but it was long for what it is.

Yes. I did buy the novella as well. And I loved it.

Perfect for Valentine's Day!

This book follows the characters in the Fallen series how have gone back in time. Through out the story, the reader sees what happens on Valentine's day for several of the characters and what happens to them. I would recommend this book if to anyone who likes this series.
