A fun “fake dating” romcom!

This book is filled with whitty back and forth that had me laughing out loud. It is also super spicy and the fake relationship troupe that I love so much.

Miles needs to change or his whole future will look very different. One problem, he doesn’t want to change his playboy lifestyle so comes up with the solution of a fake fiancée. He knows just the girl to ask.. Rose. The only problem … she doesn’t like him!

If you love fake relationships, next door neighbor, enemies to more romances then you are just going to love Miles and Rose.

Rose and Miles are great characters. Honestly though, for the first quarter of the book I was unsure if I wanted to continue. A sweet rom-com! I don't really have many thoughts with this book, other than, it was a fun and engaging read.

I liked this book I just didn’t love it. I can’t even figure out why. I really enjoyed the characters and their development throughout the book. I just felt something was missing somehow. It is a decent read it just isn’t going to make my repeat reads list

Elevators = Great Inventions

First from this author and I’m in love. This book was so witty, full of fun and ALL the steam! Hello?! Elevators…read it and thank me later. Miles was everything you want in a book boyfriend and Rose was quite the compliment to him. Definitely looking forward to reading more.

   | Faking It with the Billionaire Next Door is fun read. Really, I got a great time listening to the audiobook. Miss Day has a knack putting a boring, recycle plot into interesting story.

Her writing is excellent. Not a single moment I got bored with the story. The conversation and banter is also good. The characters have some chemistry. The sex scenes are not too graphic. But it is still hot, though.

Overall, a very good book.

This was a dnf. I got eleven chapters in (not sure what percent that is) and there is no real plot. The book is nothing but explicit sex. There is no storyline to make it worth it. I just can't...

***AUDIOBOOK/ARC REVIEW***
My first Jolie Day rom com was a delight! I loved every minute of it! Jolie Day captures your heart with this cute, funny, slow burn, steamy, enemies to lovers, fake relationship romance. Miles Humphries was cocky, arrogant, charming billionaire playboy, who hid a sweet and vulnerable side. Rose Taylor, is the total opposite of Miles. She is reserved, uptight, and a ”prude”, according to Miles. They can’t stand each other! Making this a laugh out loud, delightful, passionate RomCom you want to keep reading. The chemistry between Miles and Rose was explosive! I loved the friendship they developed that turned to more while on their fake relationship to fool his family. I absolutely loved the cat, Daisy, she was the best part of the story and hearing Samantha & Jason say meow was the best!!
Jason Clarke & Samantha Brentmoor narrate this wonderful romcom. They brought the story to life and made you fall for Miles and Rose. Jason’s performance as Mile was great. He portrayed MIle’s cocky, teasing, playful side perfectly, while also showing us Miles’ soft, sweet and vulnerable side. Samantha has become one of my favorite female narrators. Her range of voices are truly spectacular and she was incredible as Rose. She had the whole uptight, ice queen attitude, but also did a great job showing Rose’s vulnerability and loving side.
Overall, this was a wonderful, delightful listen. From beginning to end, Miles and Rose had me enthralled. Jolie Day is a wonderful storyteller. Im so happy I gave this new to me author a listen and will definitely be adding her books to my TBR!

It’s a cute and charming story with nice characters, but not as good as the other one around these characters. The main point is that it’s quite predictable, but I enjoyed listening to the audiobook while doing chores.
