As always, another great episode of a series I'd like to see on TV. It was a tad unrealistic how fast (few days) they were able to pull all the info together. But still an awesome group of realistic and likable characters and storyline. I will continue to read this series.

Eve and Roarke just get better with each book. As with all of the books, Eve doesn't get much break from one case to the next. She's filling out paperwork for the overtime expense for the jaunt to Ireland for her ENTIRE team ... when she catches a new case. During the investigation, Eve manages to make some interesting connections. The case ends up needing all hands on deck before it's over ... and it winds up being a doosey.
Peabody is really starting to come into her own. Mavis & Leonardo make the next big step for couples before baby #2 arrives.
Just another great book in this awesome series. Looking forward to the next one!

I always love a good In Death book. It always amazes me the differences JD aka Nora can put in this series. As a female who has been thru some trauma, this book struck chords in me that as usual in this series made music in the end. If you haven't tried JD Robb before I recommend reading/listening from the beginning on. LOL due it one book a week for the year and you'll be able to get the next book in the series definitely caught up on the crew.
I almost gave up on this series thanks to what happened in the previous book but I decided to continue because I have already collected almost all the books in this series and it's too late to turn back now. I will feel as if I've been wasting my money if I give up on a fifty-book series at this late stage and I am too miserly to waste my money that way. Especially since the first books that I bought in this series was with my parent's money as I was still a high schooler at the time. There was nothing objectionable in this book so I was fine with reading it. The formula was well done but I am beginning to see the limits imposed by imagining future technology from way back in the nineties.
Very good story line. Enjoyed the characters, the information presented and the mystery. Very quick read. Love the whole series

Now THIS is what I am talking about.
Look, maybe I need to work through some stuff, but seeing a heartless religious cult taken down is just. It's my thing, I love it, I live for it, she wrote this book for me specifically and I will not hear arguments to the contrary.
Was the climax silly and unrealistic and over the top? A little, but no more than some other books in the series, and again I cannot stress enough that this book hits ALL my high points. Absolutely worth it for me, and redemption for my 'meh' feelings about the last one.

This one will go down as another favourite in this series. It really took an unexpected turn–in the worst way for those involved, but in the best way to create a riveting story.
At first glance, it looks like a lover's quarrel that takes a deathly turn but is actually connected to a cult that reminds me of an institution that has been in the news lately. I became more enthralled as the picture started to form of what was going on. I couldn't imagine how Eve and her team were going to solve this one and get all involved the justice they deserved.
If you haven't started this series, you don't know what you're missing.

Standard “in Death” book, nothing majorly exciting but entertaining story.
50+ books in, Eve not understanding basic English sayings is getting super annoying, meh.
