Love this series
This book broke my heart. But in the best way. There are very real issues tackled in here. I've read this series from the beginning and feel like I know Eve so well. To watch her grow and find her strength makes me so happy. This book I found probably the most relatable. Trafficked women and children, a hate group disguised as a religion. It hit all the right notes. When I was younger I thought I wanted to be Nancy Drew when I grew up. I want to be Eve Dallas.

4.5 One of the best in this highly readable series. Great police procedural but it's the characters that keep me coming back. The books can be read as stand-alones, but it's more fun to read them in order to follow the development of the characters. HIghly recommended.
Even with me pausing in the middle of this story to read a completely different book, it was another wild and crazy ride for Eve! I really enjoyed this one, how it just wasn't adding up right, and I really didn't see it coming when the villain reveal happened! It blew me away and I nearly woke my spouse up trying to keep from yelling at the Kindle screen! I really liked how everything had been deflected away from the true villain, and it was just one little slip up that got them caught! I'm really enjoying the direction these newer books are taking!
