Brilliant. Wild ride from start to finish. The right level of suspense and mystery. Every page I was discovering something I hadn't quite put together on my own and it was a real page turner.

I really enjoyed The Whisper Man by Alex North. It’s a creepy, slow-burn thriller with a mix of crime and emotional depth that kept me hooked. The story follows Tom and his son Jake as they move to a new town to start over after a family tragedy, only to find themselves tangled in the dark history of a serial killer. The father-son relationship was really touching, and the creepy whispers gave me chills! While a few twists were predictable and the pacing dragged in spots, overall, it was an eerie and emotional read that stuck with me. A solid 4/5 stars!

This was pretty good. Not too many characters, good story line, decently paced. 3.5 stars rounded up because it was pretty good but I dunno, lacked something for me to give it a higher rating.

Unfortunately this is a totally forgettable crime/thriller.

It’s fine if that’s what you want, an easy crime to get your teeth into with spooky elements but it’s nothing too original and it actually took me 100 or so pages to figure out how the story lines were linked.

I felt it was slow to get going and then rushed at the end which is pretty typical to be fair. I dislike a key plot point as a trope so that never helps when it comes to enjoying a book either so I was underwhelmed by this and glad it was a 99p kindle read.

Whish I the book would have ended at chapter 68. Even though I skipped the chapter 67 because it just interfered with the suspense, I would forgive it and rate this thriller 4.5 even rouded up to 5 stars because I enjoyed it's run. But chapters 69 and 70 were such a mess, that spoled all my great experience with this read.
