*audiobook* To be perfectly Frank, this was a 5 star book until about the last 3-4 sentences. Which is sad because otherwise I enjoyed it and some of it scared the heck out of me, which I didn’t expect. The creepy voice that Christopher Eccleston used, while I was outside alone at night, had me freaking out. Good mix of serial killerness, twists, and creepiness.
Spoilers below:
The very end part with Frank and Francis actually made me angry. Frank gets exactly what he wanted in the darkest, most fucked up way and that doesn’t sit right with me. Especially considering Francis, fucked up as he is, is also a victim.

This book is no joke. My heart was pounding for most of it, and it really is scary. I should have known since the back said “for readers of Stephen King.” But I stuck it out and it’s such a well written story. Lots of great twists get unveiled and no questions left unanswered.
Loved the creepy vibes of this story. I was constantly trying to figure out how it was all connected. My palms were sweaty and I was on the edge of my seat with my heart beating fast. This was a great, pulse-pounding read!

3.5 ⭐️
At times it was fast paced and interesting and other times seemed to drag on. I appreciated the plot twists and didn’t see the end coming, it felt anti-climactic and did leave me a little confused. Everything was wrapped up nicely at the end but I was underwhelmed. I guess I kept hoping for more - it could be because I listened to the book on Kindle Narration and I wasn’t fond of the narrator so I confused at who was narrating what chapter at certain times. If I do read another of his books, I will be sure to read it and not listen to narration.
