Good mystery/thriller. Very similar to the other Alex North novel I've read, "The Man Made of Smoke." The story has too many coincidences and strokes of luck, as well as a number of story facets that I didn't really understand. Also, a similar ambiguous, semi-sad ending. And yet, somehow it all works to make a very good, readable book.
Wow… Wow… This book was just… amazing. I have no words, it was spectacular.
I love how the author puts so much effort in the details and developing character and at the end, connect them all together. The hand on the front of the cover and the little butterfly (greatly hints that it’s gonna be somewhere in the book) and the last line of the book really impressed (I wont do any spoiler)
But yes, all in all, this book has given me nightmares. Literal nightmare and sometimes I couldn’t sleep (maybe because im young and I have too much of a strong imagination) but if you planning to read a fun but thrilling crime fiction book, I would highly recommend this book.
