I should just copy and paste my review for the first book because I stand by everything I said about why I'm loving this series so much.

The more I listen to the audiobooks, the more I love it. There is just something about the way Serenity hates Montez while slowly falling in love with him that is very compelling. No matter how much she pushes him away, Montez's obsession grows for her. He actually loves her hate and anger. He seems to thrive on it. He doesn't want to tame her, but he wants to own her body and soul. I find that I'm loving their very dysfunctional love.

The only thing I did not like about book two is the way it ended. I'm actually very angry about it and I had to start book 3 immediately so it can be fixed.

I highly recommend the audiobooks. Laurel Schroeder is one of my favorite narraters. She is doing a fantastic job with this series.

I'm loving this series more and more. At the beginning of this book, I was hating on the King but Laura made me fall for him and the relationship he and Serenity have all over again. The plot continues to excite me and make me want more. So much drama, betrayal, & longing that I can't wait to start the last book.

Understanding where this book starts, we know we're in for a ride.
Spoiler memory loss means we are going to re-hash a bunch of book one

I think the fact we see dystopian world effects of radiation affect our main character is a different take and I actually liked the realism that it would be likely to happen. No one would live in a worn-torn, bombed world and not see the effects hurt even those that are the frontline of our story.

The ending however is no longer a ride I want to wait in line for. I was forced on... and I want off.
Spoiler 104 years?! Are you KIDDING?!

My Rating System:
5 ★ Masterfully created work of art with many strong qualities. Will re-read. Cannot imagine my life without it. Devastated it is over.
4 ★ Solid Work. Enjoyed from beginning to end.
3 ★ Decent with poor execution in some manner. Neutral.
2 ★ Wasn't good but not completely bad. Only 1 or 2 redeeming qualities
1 ★ DNF and/or no redeeming qualities

The story and the characters' motivations keep going round in circles, ugh!

I enjoyed this one

Okay so spoilers. I was a bit concerned going in because I was conflicted about the first one. And TW for pregnancy troupe turned miscarriage. But the ending is really good. Really good.

Again, apart of this book just doesn’t make sense. It bunches around way too much. She has feelings for him and then she hates his guts. It’s a never ending roller coaster and it’s honestly giving me a headache. I’ll still finish the series because I am interested to see how Thalassa will finish it, but I’m truly disappointed.

I don't remember him, and yet a part of me aches with such ferocity that I know he's imprinted in my bones.

I am blown away by this book. Laura did a wonderful job with entwining sensuality, treachery, romance...need for revenge.
