An interesting concept, but unfortunately, the poetry is not very good.

This book is really just fun. I love horror and poems so what is not to love about this book. Claire took a concept and an idea and it really paid off.
I found this randomly on my kindle and I'm glad I did because it's easily one of my favourite reads this year. It's quite short and can be read in about an hour if that.
The poems are fun, creative and vivid and all tie in to final girls in horror movies which is another reason why I really love this book so much.
I look forward to seeing what else this author does.

I enjoyed some of these more than others (and some were based on movies I hadn't seen!)

I thought the poems were quite clever how it was like they were re telling and re claiming final girls from horror films. I liked that it felt like they were addressing you personally and empowering themselves and telling you what really happened. The only thing that bugged me was that a lot of poems would dip in quality or feel out of place which is why I gave it three stars. I did like the different sections where each category was showing the evolution of final girls, I’d definitely recommend this for people who like horror films and final girls and for people who want to get into poetry.
