This would have been the best book I read in 2024, but it took me until the end of January to finish it. Really intense at times, the story left me guessing. I will definitely be rereading this many years to come.

Wow, I love books from this era but this one in particular made me feel so many emotions. 
I was SOOOO upset with the village and their attitudes toward Abi because she’s wasn’t a perfect godly woman. And when they turned on Sarah????? UGH. 
I also liked the supernatural aspect and how it explored different religions. It was very intriguing.

Audiobook

Perhaps the most difficult book I get to finish this year. As we follow Abitha's earnest struggle against one unfair trial after another with neither hope or company in sight, it's unreservedly brutal, rage-inducing and thoroughly devastating. By the end Slewfoot surprisingly left me with a lot of hope. It's as beautifully written as it is illustrated, the magical world in Slewfoot was something to behold. No notes!! I would recommend this book to every horror/fantasy readers, especially if you enjoy Lapvona.

This book was enraging, creepy, and satisfying. And beautiful. I personally think that it should be read in print (if possible) as the author has included works of art weaved throughout. I loved this reading experience.
