Started off good but I didn’t like how the story wrapped up quickly at the end. Book could have been shorter and taken more time on the ending. I’d give it 3.5⭐️
I loved Harper as a heroine. She was fun, took risks, and kept things real. I like how she called Luke out on things. Luke was harder to love. His resistance to moving on from previous tragedy had him not treating Harper the way she deserved. Especially after everything she has been through. I loved all the side characters, the small town setting, the dogs she fostered and pretty much everything else in the story. I'm looking forward to reading Also and Gloria's book next.
I wanted to love this book more than I did. The beginning was amazing and the characters were fun. There just were parts of the story that dragged for me. And the ending felt rushed. Harper forgave Luke waaayyy to easily. I would have preferred parts in the middle to be cut out and Harper letting Luke grovel at the end.
But that's just my point of view. I'm sure other people love this book exactly as it is. And that's okay. It just wasn't entirely my cup of tea.

‘Pretend You're Mine’met all my expectations, and these characters had my heart from the very start.
A warm, funny yet slightly emotional story of two characters with undeniable chemistry! I can't wait to read Aldo's story next!

This book has it all. Small town. Military romance. Fake relationship. From the very first pages I was absolutely hooked on this story. Loved how Harper entered the town of Benevolence. Loved all the towns people. Loved how they welcomed Harper. Loved how Sophie suggested Harper staying with Luke. Loved the quick chemistry between the two. This book also has some very deep emotions and trials. I’m thankful Harper had the friends she made to support her. I loved the dogs and the role they played. Loved cranky Frank. Can’t wait to dive into the next story.
