When Harper finds herself in a strange town, stuck, because she ran out of gas, I don't think she was anticipating all that happens after...

She ingratiates herself to the town by defending a woman whom she sees being attacked. From that moment on, the town of Benevolence makes her one of their own. That includes Luke Garrison.

Another fake dating book, this one involves a woman who knows her mind and a man who doesn't want to want Harper. He pushes her away often, even when she offers him a no-strings relationship before they both know it will need to end.

And, of course, things don't last long like that.

Harper was a very strong character who had no problems asking for what she wants. Luke was stuck in his past and didn't know how to move on.

There was some drama, some suspense, and some sweetness. I devoured this book. Lucy Score is a genius.

Pretend You're Mine is the first book in the Benevolence series and follows the story of Luke & Harper. For hometown hero, Luke, the last thing he was looking for was love before he deployed again. But, when Harper blew into his life, he realized she just might be what he needs to keep his family off his back. When it comes to love and fake relationships, what could possibly go wrong?

If you're looking for a sweet fake relationship romance with just the right amount of drama, angst, and twists, you won't want to miss Pretend You're Mine.

that was literal ass. i hated this book so much which makes me upset because i wanted to like it so badly. the mmc was so stupid and did not deserve fmc. i absolutely hate dead spouse trope and this was no exception. also the ending infuriated me so much like what do you mean the only reason the mmc fought to get her back was because he asked for a sign from his DEAD WIFE and the WIND BLEW. why don’t you pursue her cause you actually love her and not because mother nature struck at a good time. and why did she forgive him immediately like he was a DICK???? and not in a hot grumpy way but in a i want this man to suffer and die because of the unspeakable things he said to her kind of way. absolutely hated that shit.

A military man singing ABBA’s ‘Angel eyes’ to confess his love is really hard to picture
