Almost put this down as the beginning felt a little awkward and forced. While it did suffer from a few sporadic WTF moments, I’m glad I kept going as it overall turned out to be a funny, sweet, emotional, and lovely story. 3.5 that I rounded to 4.

About halfway in it finally stopped being painful. The first half was cliché, predictable, and in my opinion the characters were unlovable. However, after some events/situation changes it finally became at least tolerable

This was a cute story- but since it was so long I knew disaster was approaching and could brace.
I liked Harper and her spunk. Luke was a hot mess. I really enjoyed their banter when they had the fake relationship, before it got physical and then all the feels happened.
The best part was this town of Benevolence and its characters, Aldo and Gloria, Georgia Rae, Linc. I could overlook some things due to the cuteness factor. Lots of things I could have highlighted.
One problem- sex in the park? With people around? No, it was a little unbelievable. Oh well- its a story :)
