I liked the story but this book felt like constant whiplash, with the abrupt 1/3 beginning and random information dumping throughout

I need to process what I read before committing to a review. Laughing one page, to swooning over a broody MMC, to crying in another. OMG.

Do not read this book unless you are prepared to cry from the heartwarming, gut wrenching, kicking your feet, throwing the book away and closing it to process wtf just happened scenes that take place in this book.

I was not prepared and still read this book in one sitting. This book was so good, kept me so engaged and the fact that Harper was such a badass made it that much better. I loved following along with Luke and to watch him finally pull his head out his ass felt extremely triumphant. I do wish he had grovelled more just for Harper’s sack.

But omg Lucy Score has never disappointed me when it comes to small town romances. The way she is able to go in depth about heavy topics is truely amazing.

Thank you Lucy Score and Bloom Books for an ARC of this book via NetGalley!

Luke and Harper had instant chemistry and I loved how easily and quickly Harper made a place for herself in Luke's life. Before Harper came along, Luke simply existed and when she arrived, she began to build a life for the both of them. But of course, they hit bumps in the road and in typical grump fashion, Luke was hesitant to embrace it all. There were scars he'd held onto and to see him let himself heal was such a sigh of relief. But it was so hard to see them be apart, putting on a brave face, bc the truth was they were HURT-ING. Yeah, I needed them to figure out their shit fast so I could see their HEA. And damn, did I love where they ended up. 🙂
