This book wasn't as impressive as I would've liked for a finale, but we got what we wanted out of it so I can't be that upset. If anything it felt like a greatest hits except for some really good parts here and there. Will miss the characters for sure.

Audio Review

Fabulous end to the series. It was action packed throughout and each time the team looked like they were stuck in a corner they came out punching.
It had a return of all the gods that have appeared throughout and it was highlight seeing some of them, many fought hard for their side, while others just turned up when there was little to do.

A big shout out to Gary Furlong. With a cast of thousands here he still managed to kept everyone's voices, which is always a battle in audio, but whenever someone spoke I could tell who it was. He had me alternating between crying at parts to laughing out loud like a loon at some of the antics. Well done for a great series

I did want to know more about some of the side characters. Nadine for one, but maybe it will come out more in Spencer's book

I'm being lazy and basically reviewing the whole series here. I loved this series, and will no doubt either re-read or listen to it again, but it wasn't perfect. It kinda felt like the author just threw everything she knew about various mythologies and mythical creatures into one universe but she found a way to blend them together in a way that works.

The characters were good, and I am absolutely in love with Patrick and Jono, though the whole thing where the gods "gave" Jono to Patrick (more like orchestrated their meeting and pushed them into circumstances that forced them to be together) is a bit ooky. However, the chemistry between them still felt believable and mostly organic, though the relationship felt a bit rushed, even for a book.

I have loved this series so much and A VEILED & HALLOWED EVE was an amazing conclusion! I don't really know what to say because so much happens, there are so many emotions, and I don't want to spoil major plot points of the series. Really you just have to read the series to understand all the twists and turns that this book took.

Throughout Jono and Patrick's seven book journey we've seen a variety of gods, goddesses, and supernatural creatures and I loved seeing how all those different mythologies came together for this final battle. And what a battle it was! There was so much action, intense fight scenes, and harrowing moments as our heroes attempted to stop Ethan from bringing Hell to earth.

I can't recommend this series enough if you love paranormal/urban fantasy books, especially if you love a fantastic m/m romance beautifully woven in. Patrick and Jono will live a long time in my memories and while their experiences were hard and scarring, their devotion to each other never wavered. I was so happy to see them get the happy ending they deserved.

Jono didn't think love should ever hurt, but it gutted him right then—the best kind of pain, the ache that said I'm here, I'm alive, I'm with you.

Epic ending

Well Hailey proves you can end a Paranormal series on a high note! This is my main problem with most longer pnr series they are amazing until the end that is just lackluster. All the previous events of past books all come to head in this epic conclusion, old friends and enemies alike are reunited in an epic battle. Patrick and Jono finally get their hea, it is not easily won but wow what a ride it is. I cannot recommend this series enough.
