The story of a young woman who thinks she can cure people by thinking.

I thought this short story took too long to start, there's a good bit in the middle, but then the ending is just okay.

Imagine my excitement when I came across a May Sinclair book on Project Gutenberg that I hadn't heard of before. She is one of my favourite writers, and is unjustly forgotten. This particular tome started brilliantly, and I was immediately engaged with the story. The characterisation is, as ever with her books, sublime. Whilst The Flaw in the Crystal is not the best of Sinclair's books, it is fascinating regardless, and has great character development. Magical realism is something which I'm not used to in her work, but here, it worked brilliantly.
