Made it 60% but just couldn’t care about the heroine at all. In fact, I think she’s a horrible, judgmental beeotch. She has no redeeming qualities. And the hero’s pursuit of her in the face of her obvious hatred is downright creepy.

This series was everything I love in rom-coms! Feisty, independent, well rounded female leads with lines that made me laugh out loud.
This modern retelling of Cinderella is a 'charming', hilarious, and heartwarming enemies to lovers rom-com. Kimber punches her fiance at the alter, her business has burned down, and now when she arrives in Italy to see her dying father, she is surprised to learn she has a new stepmother and sexy step brother. Her world has been turned upside down and she is struggling to save her late father's failing dress shop. Her father has kept secrets from her, and she isn't sure who to trust. When her now ex-step brother, Matteo, who is a successful designer, offers to buy her shop, the fierce competitor in her doesn't want to let it go. But Matteo wants more than the shop. This beautiful, talented, and mouthy woman challenges him and makes him feel for the first time. Matteo challenges Kimber as well, but she is not willing to open her heart to another beautiful man who might break it. This charming, over the top romance has quirky characters, a funny, heartwarming storyline, steamy passion, and a great epilogue!

Matteo seems to be the answer to all of her problems. Until emotions are brought into the mix. Geissinger amps up the sexy but never loses sight of the heart.

Another great read by Geissinger! Little Cinderella-esque. The very definition of enemies to lovers trope; Matteo toed the line so closely of being TOO much asshole that I almost didn't like him sometimes. But other times, he was just so freaking dreamy and smexy that I agreed with Kimber...totally going to get pregnant by osmosis. I loved Jenner and I even started to like Brad by the end. Having known more than one person who actually married their own Brad, just to get the confession after the fact, I think the evolution of their story was authentic.
There were parts of the story that were unnecessarily confusing which is why I give this 3.5/4 stars and not a full 4 stars. Everything Matteo was doing with her sketches, his reasoning for wanting to constantly keep her on edge and fighting...it was honestly just out of left field. But again, he's so smexy that he just gets a free pass I guess.

This book was amazing from start to finish. I laughed so much! Lol. Full of pleasant surprise, snarky remarks, (I'm looking at you Jenner, Lol) emotional nuances that rung me out, and those kisses? Kudos for the Italian and the dirty talk! The dressing room scene???? I felt my body heat and my face flame! For shame Ms. Geissinger, for shame! I loved it so much. Kimber and Matteo were awesome. I can't even get my feelings under control to properly review this story! It was and is that great! I savor these reads by this author because she leaves me breathless, wanting, and a quite bit more educated on the many facets of love. You are totally worth it Ms. Geissinger totally, always, fantastically, marvelously, stupendously, and outrageously worth it! You deserve a standing ovation for another well written, thought out, rung your heart out read!!!

Matteo??? SIGN ME UP. Again, this series rocked me to my core. It was the perfect slow burn. I will definitely be trying more looking for similar recs, please help!
