This is a trip back to the 1970's. The authors take you on a journey to discover new ideas using different types of canvas, various papers and other elements to make a collage. They show you variations in methods. Several pictures are in color but most are in black and white which is why I gave the book four stars. I would have loved to see close-ups and more detail because what they have done in awe-inspiring. And in case you didn't catch it, Mary Jane Mayer is the famous author Mercer Mayer's mother. Imagination runs in the family.
