I thought this would be a fast cleanse and break for my brain but nope. Dan the MMC just got on my nerves. He has that attitude I detest in people and nothing could make him likeable. So a nope from me.

I'm going to go ahead and say it...worst sex scene I've ever read. I mean, seriously, I get wanting to make your first time memorable, but sex while doing handstands? Ugh.

Proof that the bigger and tougher they are the harder they fall...
Even a short story by Ms Seton breaks your heart and puts it back together again. We’re used to following SEALs as they find their “one” but Sarah being a tough as nails soldier makes for hilarious competitions. With just enough angst, misconceptions, and some smoking sexy times his is a great afternoon read.

I think this novella would have been better/more believable if it took place over the course of more than a few days. I didn't believe that the trajectory of Dan and Sarah's relationship moved as fast and got as serious as it did in this story. I'm all for believing in love at first sight, but this was more lust at first sight. The writing didn't convey that the lust ever turned to love in my opinion.

Love this series. A very quick read, just a little Christmas teaser in between the rest of the series, includes the same characters, and a couple new ones. Fun, sexy, sweet romp, just perfect on a snowy afternoon

I don't normally read military romances but I was curious about this one after hearing about the handstand sex scene on Romance Twitter and since it was a Christmas novella, now seemed the time.
I skimmed through most of it because I was annoyed with the shades of toxic masculinity in it - Dan is a Navy SEAL and Sarah is a sargaent in the army who rightfully has a chip on her shoulder because she's always been underestimated and denied equal rights as a woman in the army. They meet and Dan is basically a competitive ass, proving to Sarah that he's just like her family of service men who don't think she's good enough. I had no patience for it but wanted to get to handstand sex to see what all the fuss was about. If you're curious, too, I'll save you the effort of having to skim - it's chapter 9 - and to be honest, it was meh.

A sweet sexy Christmas military romance. Was short but filled with action as she engaged him in competition because of her past issues with military not letting women be special forces. I believe that isn't an issue anymore but maybe I'm wrong. The dynamic between the two of them and the heat was especially great. The other couples seemed interesting though I hadn't read her other series they were in. Good short fun read.
