This book is iconic and beloved for a reason. Charlie is one of the most heartbreaking narrators from our time. The way in which he stumbles and "participates" throughout the novel is uncomfortably real. I've seen the movie before and loved it, and I was certainly not disappointed.

Wow this book is so impactful and emotional and so so good. It has been three years since I read this for the first time and I was so right calling it one of my favourite books then because it definitely still lives up to that now. I honestly didn’t think I would like it as much because I thought I’d be the wrong audience but honestly I think I appreciated it even more.

I love Charlie’s voice I think it’s perfect and he is depicted so well. The writing is gorgeous and portrays someone of his age and experience very accurately I think. I could relate to Charlie sometimes and underlined so many quotes in this. It left me feeling so sad but also hopeful and I’m just so glad I re-read it! Definitely still a 5 star read.
