I again really liked this book! This series has been very consistent with its content and I am very pleased!! This book followed a grumpy manager and a happy photographer and their romance, and I feel like compared to the first book, this book was much more if a slow burn. In the first book the romance happened kinda after the first third, where as this book it happened much later. But I think that that was really necessary for the story.

I did get annoyed at some points over the arguments they were having, but the payoff was really worth it. Like when they finally got together I felt super satisfied!! It does have the dreaded 3/4's break up, which is never fun, but honestly I feel like this 3/4's break up was much more natural than the other ones. I didn't even know who to side with on their final argument.

Also, I think the author does a great job of building up the main characters, and also the characters in the background. I did wish we were able to get more Libby and Killian moments, but alas. In total, this book was super fun to read, along with being super addicting! Read this if you want a slow burn rock aesthetic book!

So , i jumped into this one right after i finished Idol , seeing as i loved the first i was excited for the second... and for 80% of the book i was in love with everything in it except the fact that Sophie was being described as shy , like what ? But other than that, i can't think of a bad thing in that 80%
Then , what i predicted would happen happened, and i was mad ( SOILER ) they started arguing , Gab's anger was justified in my opinion, and he wasn't unreasonable at first , he kept asking for an explanation and waiting for her response but Sophie oh boy , i lost all my love and respect for her , he asked her if it was the other way around, wouldn't she be mad and she was like " well ..." but she kept on playing the victim, focusing on his hurt and anger and refusing to give an explanation. Now i know when you love someone you want them to trust you fully because you trust them fully, but she knew his past and what seeing what he saw would awaken in him but still played the victim .
THEN she goes crying and running away because of her eavesdropping and he's the one who does the chasing and apologies for shit , i hate hate females like this

Bottom line , i didn't care for the last 2 chapters, i will for sure read Jax's book like Duh ;D , but Sophie is a pass for me

Sophie and Gabriel are brilliant together! Their banter is amazing. Their chemistry is off the charts and have I mentioned how sexy they are?

This book is so entertaining. It is swoony, laugh out loud funny and has tones of heart. I couldn't put it down.

This was my first book by Kristin Callihan, but it definitely won't be my last. I will definitely be looking for others and I can't wait for more from this author.

This book had some of the best banter between lead characters that I've read. I found myself smiling through much of the book. It was kind of a take on the grumpy boss and a sunshine happy girl but different. The secondary characters and their banter was delightful too.

I hadn't read the first book of this series about Killian but will do that. I know there is a third book with Jax and I hope the other characters are still in the works.

Great building of anticipation and chemistry. This was a slow build in regard to how long in the book it was before steamy times happened but once it did it was hot.

Having the FMC sexually harass the MMC in the first chapter of the book under the guise of "helping" him with his fear of flying is not cute, sexy, or funny. The book went downhill from there because the FMC continued to be that fucking annoying and crass. At the same time, the MMC has severe emotional issues that he needs therapy for, but his relationship with this annoying woman is the only cure he needs.

I know I'm in the minority on this one, and I'm fine with that. I'm also fine with maybe not finishing the series. I'm 0-2 already because Killian and Libby in the first book were JUST as annoying. There are 2 more books in the series and I'd be a fool to expect better.

DNFed at like 30%. The first part with the banter on the plane was ok. Once they were on land, I zoned out and couldn’t follow the story.

I like how Kristen Callihan always achieves to create enthralling characters. In Idol, I remember reading about Scottie and his arrogant nature that left me more than intrigued. To finally be able to peal his multi-layered personality was a real treat.

“I wasn’t prepared to need you this much.
I don’t know who I am anymore if you aren’t with me.”

Managed is unquestionably one of my favorite read this year. The flow of the story, the connection between all the characters, the amazing chemistry of the main couple, absolutely everything was pleasing about this novel.

From the very first scene with Sophie and Gabriel, I was completely captured by these two. They’re complete opposites, but they definitely click together! Sophie is this funny and bubbly girl living in the moment, while Gabriel appears as a real jerk with his sexy and pompous attitude. It doesn’t stop them from forging a deep friendship when she joins Kill John’s tour. While they try to keep it platonic, the sparks flying between them can’t be denied and bring a lot of sexual tension. We’re witness to Gabriel’s rigid façade slowly disintegrating and his heart opening to Sophie and it’s really stunning.

The story was killing me with the anticipation for something more happening between them. Let’s just say that their first kiss was more than waited for and completely gave me chills from the overload of emotions it brought.

“Destroyed. My polished armor. My stubborn resistance. My hardened heart. She smashed through the first two and laid total claim on the third.”

Kristen Callihan not only created alluring characters, but also wrote all the feels needed to mesmerize the reader. That’s the magic of this book!

Managed totally stole my heart!
