The book needs no introduction, I'm sure that many people are like me - well aware of it, but there is always a new-shiny to read instead.
I've been reading a bunch this year and have drunk heartily from the soda water of modern literature - zombies, super heroes, dystopias, et. al.
Pulling up this book up was an eye-opener. The text is remarkably readable - erudite, but engaging. The majority of the book is driven via dialogue (hmm, thinks back to 14 years in prison... so not _all_ of the book) and I found it largely wonderful, if soapy. The interjections from the narrator, however, were masterful.
Very happy to have read, now back to some schlock before tackling some Russian classics.
