I really enjoyed this read. While it was definitely a slow burn I felt the journey itself was incredibly worthwhile and that I really got to know the hostile and unforgiving setting and the variety of characters. 

I thought this story did a good job of balancing the real and the supernatural evils which existed and that it did a great job of not having any one character be altogether good or evil.

Not my taste, so to speak. Tame and takes all the fun out of cannibalism. More for fans of zombies. Very readable, if not for the racism.
