This was a super solid first book in a new fantasy series. I really loved the mixing of traditional aspects of King Arthur and his Roundtable with more African root magic. I thought the story and characters were well fleshed out, but I did find the romance a little instalovey for my tastes. I really liked Sel's character and I want to see more from him in the next book!
