This book would not be for everyone but somehow was exactly what I needed to read right now. I have been describing it as part werewolf erotica and part spy thriller but you could also add
tragic romance
to the mix. Despite the graphic content, I think it’s beautifully written which I also appreciated.

Its well written and has a poetic, visural narrative. With that said, it ia also a dark book. I had to read it in small doses. I will have to come back to it.

That guy who spent the entire party talking at you about Quentin Tarantino wrote a werewolf book.

The concept is fun but it hasn’t aged well, that self-effacing ironic humour of the 2010s is in full force. This is a re-read for me, originally I read it in about 2015, I remember enjoying it more back then.

That being said I’m gonna read the next two because I’m attached to the characters now and I’m a sucker for werewolves.

I really should have stopped reading at the 'I'm not a misogynist, but..."  near the beginning of the book.
All you need to know to determine if this book isn't for you is that at one point, the main character compares his partner's (NSFW)
wolf vagina to 'a fevered baby's mouth'
