Listen for the Lie had me guessing the whole time. It was twisty, kind of dark, but also had the tiniest bit of spice (which I didn’t expect).
I’m new to mystery/thriller books but this one was easy to follow and super interesting. The podcast element was so fun and made it feel more real, especially in the audiobook. I didn’t know who to trust or believe, and the ending totally surprised me in a good way!

A really great audio production with some truly likeable characters (I’m lookin’ at you, Beverly). Listen for the Lie uses a fun concept of toggling back and forth between the main character’s POV and recorded podcast episodes about the murder of her best friend (of which she was the only suspect). Didn’t love the story’s flippancy toward domestic violence and infidelity. Also didn’t feel like the plot had any major twists or shockers. Entertaining enough, but ultimately not super memorable.

between 3.5-3.75. pretty entertaining read that hooked me from the start. i was worried it wouldn't have a satisfying ending but i liked how it played out. felt realistic to keep some things/relationships unresolved. not everything worked for me but i liked lucy and savvy's friendship a lot and would've loved even more of it.
