I found it a little repetitive at some points with other Murderbot plots and found myself skimming over some details. But once the plot got going (about 1/3 of the way through), I was just as hooked as ever

I freaking love Murderbot. This installment was more compelling than the last and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I also like the overarching storyline throughout these novellas. I loved Miki!! And for some reason the humor in this one just hit different and I was cackling.

I have to say this book was not terrible but not as good as 1 or2. I did enjoy how we see more emotional side coming out by interacting with different robots or his habits of always having to save humans from their decisions. I wish the author would have given us more scene with him and Mickey at the end.

This is Murderbot series' third book, the story keeps going! Murderbot is trying to do it's thing and investigate GrayCris Corporation, but humans somehow keep getting involved and now it needs to protect them, even though it really wants to be left alone. There's also mentions of Murderbot's original crew and intrigue with the unaccounted SecUnit.

I hate caring about stuff. But apparently once you start, you can't just stop.

It's always nice coming back to this series and the proof is very evident - I'm still reading and planning to take on the next part, because I really want to know how the whole thing with Murderbot going back to Dr. Mensah is going to turn out.
This time we got to see Murderbot interact with Miki (a human-form bot) and that was super interesting to see.
Murderbot did miss ART tho (me too buddy). I still hope that in later installments we get to see them working together again :)

I was tired of pretending to be human. I needed a break.

Murderbot was going through it this time! The sarcasm, annoyance and also the oh shit moments made it even more relatable than before. With every story it's becoming more and more human-like. The sass and the personality has always been there, but there's genuine feelings coming through, you know what I mean? Well, it's going to be very interesting to watch, I can't imagine what's coming next...

Pretending bad things aren’t happening is not a great survival strategy in the long run.

Apparently Martha Wells loves her formula and after the third time it got so tired I just skimmed.

Murderbot reluctantly mother gooses some silly but vulnerable humans, Murderbot begrudgingly protects them, fight scene fight scene fight scene, Murderbot abandons the new group of humans they have to admire and have defection for, runs away.

Not to have spoilers but the characterization for MB was weird too.

Loved the first two books but this one was so dry and predictable I’m going to give up on the series

It understand why Murderbot is so resistant to making friends, but it's funny every single time it mistakes kindness for hostility. It such an extreme jump. I'll just file Miki away with Lovelace (Wayfarers) as 'AI breaks my heart, thanks' because it can probably be rebuilt but it won't be the same Miki. Also, human security who like their jobs too much are the worst, ACAB.

That was one [] of a ride. I love the parallel between the relationship between murderbot and Dr. Mensah and the relationship between Miki and Abene as well as how that contributes to murderbot's decision at the end. The book kept me hooked the whole way through and though I was a little confused at some parts I think it's due to how I was opting not to reread parts for clarification so I could read faster lol. Teared up at the ending. This was such a meaningful part of the murderbot diaries and has cemented the fact that my favourite part of this series is the conncections between characters.
