meh. I loved the first two stories, but the rest didn't really stand out to me.

I am really impressed by these. When I read the first one I thought it was too mature for my 7-year old, but actually it was perfect to capture her attention and open up some really interesting conversations about stories, culture, and history.

I highly recommend. Waiting for the third book to show up!

This book had 9 short stories. All were very entertaining. I wish some of the stories were longer. I felt like they rushed to end them. Other than that it was a good book.

Stand-outs: When Is A Door Not A Door, Asteria Crane, and The Giant's Kitchen. Now I have some new authors/artists to check out! Hope Kibuishi keeps producing these short and sweet collections.

(but I still liked Explorer: The Lost Islands the best)

A mixed bag. Overall, not as good as the 1st but better than the 2nd.
