Another reviewer compared this book to leftover pizza - you'll always like and enjoy it but it's not the best. This was a fun if not particularly original or creative fantasy. I could've done with a little more will they/won't they tbh, chunks of this would've been tagged "porn with plot" on AO3 and at times I was rolling my eyes at the main character. But I finished the book in a day so I can't say it wasn't an enjoyable read.

Vampires, court intrigue and witches who may or may not be on the side of good. This is a solid romance with fantasy elements with enough worldbuilding to work. Since I enjoyed it so much, I have a sinking feeling that no one else in my local Indie’s bookclub will have enjoyed it. I popped right out to purchase the sequel and am in the middle of it now.

I was really surprised by the care that went into the world building the main characters along with the supporting characters. I did enjoy the main relationship but

I wish there was a bit more development along with a bit more time given to the mc gaining back her memories.

I liked the smut at first but then it got repetitive due to the author not really changing it up or going into more detail about it, It felt like the author wrote the same smut scene just changed small details which made it a bit boring to read. But I still thoroughly enjoyed the book despite it and it’s slight cliches

I really liked this book. The main character is a badass. She’s very powerful and cool. I also really liked the love interest Adrian. He was a good “villain” that you end up totally falling in love with. I thought the twists were really good and the plot progressed nicely!
