Extremely slow, no real surprises or twists, not great but I did sympathize with the characters so it was just ok.

I liked the premise of the book and it hooked me in. It was a rather short read though, which I think affected the build up to the conclusion (which felt rather rushed). Entertaining for sure but I don’t think the story was extremely memorable. Would recommend for someone who is looking for a quick and easy thrill-ish book.

The cat is totally fine. A chicken and a deer are not, possibly some other typically eaten animals I've forgotten about.

I rarely write reviews, but this book will be with me for a long time. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. The characters are so vivid, the story so unique, the atmosphere so utterly gripping from the first to last page. Ugh…my heart. Gorgeous, gorgeous novel.

Picked this up on a whim and I am so glad I did. These Silent Woods weaves a beautifully tense and complex father & daughter tale into a picturesque setting. I was enamored with Cooper and Finch and the story rang true from beginning to end. Easy 5 stars from me.
