I liked this a good deal more than Contagion. This had none of the slow (sometimes, painfully so) build, and I found the characters much more likeable, or at least sympathetic, unlike the first book. This was so fast paced, I read it in one sitting! Personally I loved the ending, which I can't always say for sequels, but this struck the right balance for me.
