I thought this was a little bit... boring? And though it was centered around the teen, I would have preferred to read about Amamiya and his story. It's not fair, but I really liked My Brother's Husband, and one can't help but compare.
medium-paced

Such beautiful artwork and story all the way through, then such a weird ending. I would recommend reading until just before Final Chapter, Colours and pretend that's the end of the book

enjoyed this despite not really liking tagames art style up until the very end which left a bad taste in my mouth.

I really liked a lot about this book. I thought that the characters and their struggles were very real and genuine. It was a very cool take to show different generations of homosexual people and the thought processes that they had to work through in each generation. The only reason why this isn't a 5-star for me
is because of the kiss. I get the significance for the characters, but it had already been brought up as a concern by the mom, so it felt kind of weird because of the age gap. It made me sad because there were other ways they could have had a "special" moment with each other like they didn't already have one between them. After that, with the "We will be okay, even without the cafe," which was a beautiful line, that gave me more closure than the kiss.
It just sat with me wrong.
Overall, the story was great and I loved getting to see the characters interact with each other, the mental mask he used was heartbreaking yet such a great visual for the story. :)
