Unfortunately, not up to par with the other two. It was somehow really high stakes and also none at all. I never wanted to DNF, but I never wanted to pick it up, either. Hopefully the last one is better.

Yet another great book in this series. Loved the plot - full of action! I wished I had more of this one; it felt a little fast. Can’t wait for the next one though! I love these characters and this setting so much.

This is the best book of the series so far. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first entry. It felt rushed and unpolished, but as this series has gone on, each entry has been an improvement. 

I think the series has finally found its grove with this book. Where the other two were marketed as cozy, but then leaned into action-adventure, this one is the first to really embrace the cozy fantasy genre and it does a good job at doing so. It feels like the author has finally found the style for this series and I’m hopeful for the upcoming 4th book that rounds it out.
