1⭐️ DNF!! The beginning was really hard to get into and after 130 pages I still wasn’t into it. We had a hint on who the love interest was, and if it was the guy she was thinking of, he was a deadbeat grunger. I’m not into a new coming of age book where it’s all about the music industry, or where the girls run after the boys in the bands, that hold waitressing jobs and can hardly make rent and have to walk every where. Maybe they all would have grown up more towards the end, but at 35% in we should have made some significant headway on laying out an interesting plot and characters.
I’m glad I stopped bc I also learned it was suuuuuuuuuuuper angsty bc it’s also a

I desperately wanted this to be like Ravenhood and it just wasn’t and now I’m going to sulk about having wasted my time reading this for a while.

I didn't read this when it came out and the people I was following went gaga over it. I forgot why. Usually I would very very quickly read the sketch of a book just so I have an idea what it's about. I love surprises in my books and movies. Then I realized why I steered clear of this before. It has a love triangle. I absolutely hate love triangles. It leaves me sad. Even with an HEA, I'm still sad.

I get that the author wanted to keep Stella's decision a mystery, but near the end I just got fed up with it. There's good mystery, and then there's just pushing it, you know?

Anyway. Good writing, I liked it, I was hooked...etcetera etcetera, but I hope this is the last love triangle book I ever read in my life. Thanks for the emotional rollercoaster.

Okay, If you know me, you know I do not do emotional books. THIS BOOKS HAD ME ALL IN MY FEELS!!!!!!!!!! By the end I was numb. I am still not okay!!!! The journey that we go through with Stella had me second guessing myself. I don't like love triangle books, but me going in blind had no clue this book was about a love triangle. Nate and Reid, it was so hard for me to choose. I wish we would have gotten some of their points of view. I loved the story, but I wanted more!!!!! Amazing job. I need 5-7 business days to recover.
