This is a cute middle grade novel. It’s full of magic & mystery but deals with some heavy topics like grief and loss. I do think the Disney-like happy ending counteracts all the growth the main character goes through.

I learned about this book after reading and loving the author’s more recent release, The Edge of In-Between. And this one seemed perfect for fall!
