DNF. I didn't find this book enjoyable at all, it almost felt rushed in how it was written and the storyline messy. Didn't finish

I was surprised by how much I liked this. There's more plot and world-building than the first book in the series. Hades is an asshole, which I guess ends up being part of the point. Sexy Hades and the BDSM stuff was not my kink, and the author did need to work on some editing and consistency issues (for instance, Herc's height is described differently at two points in the book that are within a few pages of one another). The last act also felt strangely anti-climactic. You can sense this being a first draft of ideas she picks up later in the Dark Olympus books.

Less chemistry than the first book, but also more realistic chemistry. The author wrote the restlessness of a long-time pairing very well... even if the characters do solve most of their problems by fucking them out. LOL

Meg and Hades have been together for years. When hades decides to enact his revenge against Zeus, Hercules comes into the fold. Hades doesn't expect to fall in love with him. Good storyline, great steam.
