adding this to the list of plays that center unrequited love. the idea of two people perfect for each other that were never meant to be together always intrigues me. fate is a tricky thing. this was hilarious.

I loved this play when I saw it live and the stage directions are so funny that it's worth reading by itself too. The story occasionally lags or feels a bit uneven but the plot itself is quite novel. There are a variety of snarky one-liners to keep you laughing along the way. 4.5 stars.

A funny little play about love, devotion, what-if, and nostalgia.

Interesting, fast-read... It was a little to bare and artsy for me, but obviously it's a script and is meant to come alive onstage.

I’ve always like reading plays there’s something about them that I really appreciate. Just dialogue and minimal stage directions. I enjoyed reading Stage Kiss and getting a glimpse into the world of theater and acting. The play with-in a play setting was well done. Ruhl knows how to write quirky characters. They all left an impression haha. The play also had some heartfelt moments. Act 2 Scene 6 was my favorite. Highly recommend, it’s a quick read. I’m gonna check out more of her plays in the future.
