It gripped me and I read it quicker than any book I’ve read before but the ending left me baffled. I felt as though there was so much suspense throughout and kelts me gripped. BUT the end was like what..? That’s how it ends. It was quick and fast. I don’t know … the ending just ruined the whole journey.

3.5 starts, the first 100 pages were kinda dull, and I thought the revelation was pretty obvious from the beginning

This was one of the many books I purchased during Target’s “Buy two, get one free!” book sale, and I had some serious buyer's remorse for this one after reading through other reviews on Goodreads, but I'm glad I didn't high-tail it back to Target to return it! I will say the low bar going into reading it may have led me to be pleasantly surprised. While it’s true this book doesn't read like your typical fast-paced thriller, it's eerie and paced well enough to keep the pages turning.
I know a lot of people may not find the explanation plausible, but hypnosis is real, and while murder may be an unlikely if not impossible use, the power of suggestion can be intense if someone's mind is open to it.
All in all, I enjoyed the book, and I didn’t find the ending as far-fetched as some other extremely popular thrillers I’ve read.
