I’m still in shock. Honestly, this book is crazy in the best way possible. The ending is literally baffling. I’m still recovering.

I love the language style. It’s so simple and almost basic but I think it really adds to the tone of the book. It feels very cold and blunt, it’s perfect for the plot. The main character is hardly ever named which I love too. It’s a really interesting and clever technique. I never really felt connected to anyone, if anything I hated most of the characters. But they’re all so complex I couldn’t help but be intrigued by them in the worst way possible.

I could write a whole essay on this book.

I’m still not over the thing about the puppies and I don’t think I ever will be.

wow this guy really hates women!

Idk I think it just wasn’t for me. I thought the premise was so promising and really interesting at some parts but I just couldn’t get past the main character. Wanted to get through it in case twist paid off but ending fell flat for me too.

My new Roman Empire. I don’t think I’ll ever look at the world the same way again.

I can’t give this book a bad rating because ultimately it hooked me. I was disturbed the entire time, but I couldn’t put the book down. That being said, the ending just reinforced the WTF feeling. I kinda wanna set this book on fire. I need therapy after this. Oml

Fucked up but in a good way. I really in enjoyed the themes this book covered and shedding light on issues this world faces by changing animals to humans and making humans animals.
