The fantasy-memoir genre is a gem! Isabella's enthusiasm was endearing, and the way she relays information and events is charmingly practical

Lovely story! Got super immersed in the world with relatable characters, mixing both science and fantasy <3

A fun book, though I don’t feel a pressing need to read the next book in the series. The fantasy countries lined up a little too neatly to real ones for my preference, and while I liked the characters, especially Isabella and Dagmira, I wasn’t terribly attached to any of them. Enjoyable enough, but not great.
