I don’t like to rate memoirs unless they are amazing because it feels like I’m rating someone’s life experiences. This book wasn’t a 5-star memoir, but it was a fun, fast read about a band I enjoyed for a minute back in the early 2000s. Always interesting to learn about behind the scenes drama and personal struggles, etc.

Do you love blink-182? Yes? Then you’ll love this. Me, I was obsessed in high school. I have friends who still text me when they listen to blink. My high school radio station is name dropped. I went to the pop disaster tour. There’s so much in here I remember. There’s so many great stories here too, and the difficult ones. I loved that his first concert was TMBG. It was interesting getting the scoop on why things happened, how Boxcar Racer, etc., came to be. Hearing about touring. All the weird things that happened. I loved hearing it all. I’m so glad Mark has gotten to a better place after everything. I found myself tearing up. This was perfect for my xennial heart.
