3.5 stars.
Is it exciting? 50-50
Suspenseful? Yes.
Confusing? Boring? The first couple of pages.
Okay, so I don't get that how.. I mean how Lauren didn't confront her husband? If she would confront him, maybe the whole book will not be able to be here.
Now come to the story so, Her husband cheated upon her and still, she is saving him from jail. Lauren, he killed someone. Yeah, maybe the victim is not a saint but murdering someone is a crime. You should arrest him. And what do you mean, that he cheated on you, so you should also cheat on him? I'm sorry, but this is not the right thing to do, instead of doing this you can confront him.
The suspense and the fighting scene, aha.. they are thrilling to me. I've been imagining it in my head, I thought of doing this and that if I was Lauren but.. yk I can't, lol.
I love the relationship of Lauren and Mike, they blow my mind.
Looking forward to reading more James Patterson novels, and thank you for recommending this book to me :)

The title could be used to describe how long it takes to read this one. One for the beach for sure. Finished it in about a day.
Classic Patterson, but not his best. Good if you're looking for a "quickie" read.

Did not enjoy this book one bit. Crazy unrealistic plot line. Disappointed.
4 1/2 stars - much better than I expected. There were some twists that I didn't anticipate.
Listened to this on audio - Mary Stuart Masterson did a great job.

This was a better read than Sunday at Tiffany (my previous read), but the incidents are unbelievable and highly unlikely!
It was a decent, suspenseful storyline with several twists (maybe too many). However, there were implausible actions by characters and holes in the story to the point that I had difficulty getting really immersed in it.
Lauren Stillwell decides to have a 'quickie' with a fellow police officer after she sees her husband entering the St. Regis hotel with a beautiful blonde on his arm. After a night of passion, Lauren becomes the only witness to a violent crime which involves her husband killing her lover. Overwhelmed with guilt, Lauren alters key evidence in the crime investigation so that she can protect her husband (who doesn't seem to remember the incident). All of the characters in this story are shallow and corrupt - making this novel a disappointing read.
I liked this one ok. It has some nice surprises in it, just wasn't one of his best.
