I read this in two days. It is the first James Patterson mystery I have read, I have to say, I really enjoyed it. It was a fast pace story and a fun read.
Better than 6th Target, this book kept me reading until the wee hours of the morning. I really like this new co-author.

Stuck in Amsterdam airport with an eight hour wait in front of me, I ran to the bookstore to see what could help me pass the time.
A friend of mine was also reading this book and had mentioned it to me before I boarded the 'plane so when I saw it on the shelf, I grabbed it and found somewhere comfy to sit.
"The Quickie" by James Patterson (and Michael Ledwidge) lives up to its name as I ripped through it.
It was an enjoyable thriller with the required twists and turns. I found it easy to read and also easy to get lost in ... and it definitely passed away the hours in Amsterdam airport.
Very enjoyable!

Its funny. I was thinking that this book would have benn an A half way through and an F by the end so I guess that's a C average. When supposedly smart charcaters do routinely stupid things it bothers me so much and that was the case here. Readers are given the story of Lauren who is at most times inpossible not to hate because of all the hypocritical things she does to save and her family. The ending was terrible and Patterson is capabale of so much more. Overall, a quick read that will probably be quickly forgotten. :(
This was one of the few books of my adult life that I literally could not put down. I was up to 4am telling myself “Just one more chapter... ok this one is it.... ok after this one...” In the end I finished it in one sitting. Excellent book! I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Amazing writing from James Patterson as usual. The book was fast pace and I loved all the many plot twist as different pieces of the story are revealed to the main character Lauren.
The book had me hooked from the very beginning. Plus I enjoyed the twisted plots throughout the book and how it kept me guessing the whole time. I recommend this book to thriller fans or James Patterson fans.
This is the first book I've read by James Patterson. It's one of his many co-writes, this time with Michael Ledwidge. The Quickie was definitely a quick read and pretty enjoyable. With a new chapter, nearly every 3 pages, the pace of the story moved swiftly. The drawback for me is I really didn't like the lead that much. She seemed to go to crazy lengths to protect her husband that came across as a jerk from the very start. Of course, there are twists but none changed my perspective on any of the characters. The Quickie kept my interest so I'll read another Patterson book but I can't see him becoming a favorite of mine.
Great book with lots of twist and truns. I couldn't put it down. I just had to know what happened.
