Science vs Religion

"Science and Religion are trying to tell the same story just in different languages"

Dan Brown once again pits fanatical religion vs fanatical atheists. A prominent scientist is ready to reveal a scientific discovery he claims is going to change the world, shocking the human race but especially the devout. At the unveiling of the discovery, chaos ensues and Robert Langdon is pulled into a puzzles and conspiracy.

I loved this book. Classic Dan Brown. Almost all of this book is pro science but an argument is made for religion also. Look for the answer to this question. (Roman Numerals) XI + I = X. Is there anyway that statement is true? That puzzle was very interesting/profound to me.

Having read all Dan Brown's novels, one thing becomes clear: they are all the same. Especially the Robert Langdon novels are all made following the same recipe: Langdon finds himself in a life-or-death situation, thrown together with a beautiful women who has her own problems but who invariably likes Langdon. In this situation, he has to take action and solve puzzles to reveal a mystery important to all human kind. Along the way, we see a lot of artwork and travel to different places.

Because of this recurring recipe, most readers like the Brown book they have read first the best. For me, this was the Da Vinci Code. Origin is basically the light version of Da Vinci Code. It has all the ingredients, but the plot is less thick and the puzzles are less interesting and just less.

However, the novel still brings up interesting points and the art and architecture mentioned is always interesting and well done.
