#cityoflostsouls is the fifth book in #themortalinstruments series.

The books sees a two part story where both of the storylines are given the right amount of attention to detail and the right amount of narration. They merge very well towards the end chapters of the book and -in the long run- highlights the importance of listening or taking into count both sides of any certain story.

I feel like the #clace storyline is a bit too repetitive and way too complicated. It's probabaly like that because the story is supposed to center around them but I find #sizzy , #malec and even Jordan and Maia ( #jaia ?) more stimulating than #clace .

Also, I'm sorry to say #jocelynfairchild is really annoying. She goes right up there with the #seeliequeen who I also very much dislike. But it's my understanding of the plot and the story that both these characters -however annoying they might be- are necessary to keep the story alive and going.

Also the main antagonist..... -There is no way to sugarcoat it- he's a psychopath.

Most fictonal psychopaths I understand; the causes they represent, the reasons for them to be psychotic. But this antagonist, he belongs in an institution.

This books is supposed to be the beginning of the end to this series and I feel like #cassandraclare gently esased us into it. Like I said the attention to detail is amazing and she also refers scenes from the previous books.

#cityofheavenlyfire here I come!

Really, this is a four and a half stars, but as we all know, half stars don't exist in the system. A tad more predictable than I prefer from Queen Cassie, but otherwise fantastic! A definite improvement from COFA.
