Lots of “throats bobbing”, repetitive phrases, and same tropes as all her other books but the world building and escapism is keeping me around.

Really loved this next book in the series, and SO curious how the ending twist will play out in the next book 👀 Kind of wish so much of the plot wasn’t quite SO reliant on Danika’s secrets throughout but still had a good time. Loved the progression of Byrce & Hunt’s relationship, and getting to know more of the characters like Ruhn (🩵) Ithan and Hypaxia better- hope that Hypaxia becomes a POV in book 3 since we’re so male heavy in the secondary pov’s in this one. Also can’t wait to see what happens with Ruhn and
Lidia/The Hind 👀👀👀

This is the second book in the crescent city books. There were a lot more problems added during this books as the first book could have been a stand alone book. The ending of this book is wild and you definitely need to have read the author’s other series before this series. I am now very invested in the story and am excited to read the next book
