I really wanted to be thoughtful about my review so I waited a few days since finishing the book.

The overarching issue I had was it could have been about 200 pages less. There is a difference between slow burn and chasing your tail. We kept going round and round on the same thing.

The big secret wasn't that big. So I was left feeling is that all their is?

Now the book made me feel big things about the characters. So if that was the plan is was a raging success. In the end Jax was not trustworthy and I was hoping the MFC Aubrey would run off with any of the other male options in the book. Their relationship was highly abusive and manipulative. I feel he did more damage than her father.

4.5/5 simply because it dragged so much in the beginning for me before it finally picked up the pace. The rest of it was really good though

This book was inspiring and the writing was good. I love more the recent books than this one, but it was worth it!

Wow, I'm not sure what to say. This one was emotional and pulled you back and forth. I read it in 4 days, but it felt like weeks and I'm not saying that in a bad way. There was just so much feelings. It is a great book, and once all my emotions even out I'll be checking out what Jett & Vick get into!

I could not finish this book. It was over for me when an 18 year old Jax started talking like a 30 year old during an intimate scene. The writing is bad and felt rushed. She takes out brownies and proceeds to cut brownies and Jay stuffs brownie in his mouth. Seriously, right out if the oven. And don't get me started on Brey and how weak and pathetic she was written. This book was just horribly written and I can't bring myself to finish it.

I love shain roses more recent hardy family books so I wanted to give these a try…

So much going on, the mmc leaves the fmc for such a weird blackmail from her father that doesn’t make sense. Returns 6 years later and has a gf and was also hooking up with other people while “in love” with fmc. The mmc returning for his app launch was such a random add to the story. They were both really toxic to each other and I didn’t feel the love other than physical attraction.
