I only give 5 stars two books that I would read again. This is definitely a book worth referencing over and over.

These four agreements just might change your life. And, at the very least, they'll give you another lens to look through.

QUICK SYNOPSIS:
Don Miguel Ruiz brings back the ancient wisdom of the Toltec people. As children we were pure beings but as we age we become tainted and start to make agreements with ourself, agreements that enhance our suffering. In this book Ruiz teaches us 4 powerful agreements that will undo all the tainted and ill agreements we made in our past so we can learn to be free and in a constant state of bliss.

REVIEW:
When I began reading this book, all the methods were really hard to grasp. Ruiz was asking his readers to do something close to impossible: Release the hurtful agreements from our past and take on new ones, positive ones. To do this we must release all we know negatively and I felt like my brain was almost telling me I wasn’t ready. But as I grew close to the end of the book I realized not only am I ready, I was already practicing it. When I wanted to read this book, I had this feeling like now was the time to read it, I was meant to read it now for some reason and when I grow close to the ending I realized why: LOVE. I was already practicing trying to give out more loving energy and that’s what tied this book together, the last 2 chapters is what really made this book for me.

I liked the idea, and I liked the 4 agreements themselves, but the rest of the writing seemed a little oversimplified, and a little bit like the author was giving you an excuse for bad behaviour

oversimplified and repetitive…could’ve been way shorter bc the same basic ideas are over explained to death
